Evening Gents,
though it be best to open up a small topic on one of my project cars, the R19 16V Phase 2 Turbo.
Intro:
I bought the R19 after I crashed my Clio (1) on the nurburgring. Bought it for 300 euros from some guy in the netherlands with a dead battery and 4 flat tires, winched it up on the trailer and back to belgium we went.
Before long it was at Jo's place of worship ready to recieve the needed sweet-sweet lov'n...
Start off fitting the 2liter instead of the F7P

Along with fitting Powerflex Black through the entire subframe.

Upgraded the suspension not long after with a set of GAZ Gold's and made some bespoke topmounts:

2013 track season ended on a high note:

the R19 was performing pretty good, the alignment was spot on back then and I was overall pretty content with the car with the exception of the tires (I do not like R1R's...)
At this point the speclist stood at:
- F7R from a Sport Spider bottomend with a F7P from a Clio head
- Gaz Gold coilover set
- Bespoke Uniball topmounts
- Powerflex Black bushing through the entire subframe
- Clio 2 RS 172 Brakes
- Laguna 1 Master brake cilinder
- Devil Exhaust system
- Oilcooler Mocal 13 Row
The decision was made a while before this point to build a turbo engine based on a F7P, Low boost it and just "see how it goes".
The "lets see how it goes" soon went out the window and we went to work doing it proper, doing it once and not cutting corners albeit sticking to the principle on which I started the build. cost/benefit ratio had to be sound, retard-proof, built to last
Too much to type now so I'll just spam you all with pictures:

Thats how it stood a few months back. Speclist at that point:
- F7P Bottom end with lowered CR (skimmed pistons) & all the revision work done to it
- Garret T25/T28 .60 AR
- TiAL Xtreme wastegate
- Custom exhaust
- F7P R19 head which again had the full rebuild & revision
- All new sensors on the block & head
- New oilpump, waterpump, Alternator
- FORGE Twinpass IC
- SAMCO hoses for the water-tract
- 802 Injectors
- Mapped by FASTCHIP
- V-band connections on everything related with exhaust
- LOG Manifold
This last weekend(s) the final work was done in the form of:
- Speedline SL 1213 (Megane CUP) rims 16" 8J
- AP Racing 4 Pots brakes
- Clio 2 CUP Driveshafts
- Pagid Yellow brakepads
- Yokohama AD08 R tires
- Clio RS 172 hubs
- HUB modification to uniballs & extender pins to correct rollcenter & aid with bumpsteer.
last bucket of foto's:

I think I'm DONE for the minute with investing in the car
right now it'll be DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE
instead of build build build like the past few weeks / Months.
Regards !
