Quicksilver fitting...assistance required

Just in the middle of fitting my QS Sport exhaust, old exhaust removed with
no problems, except having to grind the original clamps off!!!

Have come to fit new zorst and it doesnt match up with the original
pipes where the clamp goes , ie the distance between the 2 remaining pipes is
slightly too wide.

I have noticed in Jainy's WIKI report that she mentioned about undoing
the clamp from the collector pipe and its telescopic so you can adjust it.

Is this the collector pipe clamp? and how do you adjust it? Can anyone help?

Here at oulton reading this post with stevev6:) he says there is an adjuster on one side of the collector allowing it to slide. It may be rusty and hard to move so plenty of wd40 required! Martin

right mate.... loosen this bolt in you pick, it will be tuff as its corroded, when loose, using a rubber mallet, rotate and hit allowing the pipe to come out of the joint...... whenyou are alligning. secure the other end that is fixed measer how much your out.....then rotate and hit the pipe in the pic till it has come out the same distance......retighten and clamp up ya zorst....remember use zorst paste, firegum n the like

Hey Jainy,

Your right getting the clamps off is a pig of a job!!!

I am well impressed with the exhaust and fitting is made 100% easier
taking the bumper off.

I have no problems with the exhaust touching the bumper holes as
i have used your advice and taken time in lining it up correctly.

Thanks for the WIKI write up.. it was needed!! :D

Cheers chuck :approve:
