project gtt 5 (1.7 turbo)

No contradictions and I'm sticking to what I said. A bare metal resto then full primer, a blow over then only primer repairs or rough areas. That isn't a resto so just asked!
Ah boring, remind me as many times as you want. Keyboard warriors, Pffft, is that not what you've just done? Once again you've gone off on one because someone has questioned the way you do something. . . this is a forum.
You're right tho, there is 2 sides to every story, most seem to try and sort it out but then resort to ranting on a forum to which things then get resolved. I think it's just a case of tryin to prevent the stories in the first place, there's quite a few

whatever , fed up argueing with you lol. maybe your right? and i will just agree to disagree

I'm not tryin to argue nor slag you off. Comments will be made when people post what they are doing, good or bad, questions or advice. If its a general 'here's what I've done this week' then it's fine, but as your saying your a trader, and deal with old renaults then surely on an enthusiasts forum you should be promoting how good you can do things, after all your offering alot of services directly related to renaults, hence creating future work, or putting people off. I would have thought attitude and proof of work are a must as people do talk, just a thought. Unless I've got it all wrong and you don't need the work? In which case why spend time and money on cars that you won't get your money back on unless they are a private collection. But as most have sold on eBay, I do watch as have I've been interested in some, yet you still have them? I'm confused as to what purpose a forum is to you?

nearly done , still waiting on wings from renault and bumper to be done , next flatten and polish , fix the gaps(bumpers etc)

then sell it ??? before i blow it up lol

Well from the pics looks like a tidy job, looking at respraying mine next month, I’ll just be happy with no runs or reaction spots but I’m pure amateur, lol

if your worried about reactions paint the car in barcode first , this comes premixed and costs about ?16 a tin , this will stop anything coming through the paint as it seals the old paint , then you can just prime on top and paint , just take your time what colour you painting ??

What colour is it?

I'm only doing a blow over red on reddish. So was hoping to get away with not priming as red covers pretty good.

red doesnt cover well and if you have repairs you will have to tint it down darker colour(the primer i mean) , as it wont cover a light colour primer and youlln end up with different shades off red , if you want to make the red brighter paint the car white first ,

Oh dear sounds like more work than I was hoping for, what if I cover repaired areas in rattle can matching red before respray?

check whats in the can as it doesnt normally mix with normal thinner based paint and reacts when you put paint on top off it
