Problems with rust?

it's not the chassis you have to worry about, that's pretty much bulletproof, it's all the accessories you need to keep an eye on.....i had rust on the bolts on the inside of the doors within a couple of years....looks crap on such as nice car!......i mean how much would it've cost Renault to used galvanised accessories ?!.... [smilie=doubt.gif]

brake discs rust up in front of your eyes! ( unless you have a heated & low moisture environment ), so when mines in storage (winter) i never put the handbrake on & take for a little trundle now & then on a dry sunny winters day....

funnily enough was delving down in the engine a little while back and was disappointed to see that some bits looking like they've been thru the rust wars.....power steering pump pulley, crankshaft pulley etc :s
 
had a mk1 fiesta 950cc once......is that classed as a classic ? ;)

also had a lancia delta integrale 16v before ( not Evo ), now that was a abject lesson in rust :rollseyes:
