Problem - Service light and airbag light on

They came on the other day then went out again and now they're back on and wont go off! I have heard this a fairly common fault on the clio's in general?

Has anyone else experienced this?

My mk1 used to do that-

My technical wizardry lead me to ' jiggle the wires about under the seat'
this generally work-

Does this make me a qualified renault mechanic??

Heard that also. tried a bit of "jiggling" no joy. may jiggle some more tomorrow lol

Problem solved, it was indeed the connectors under the passenger seat working themselves loose.

Some muppet had stuck a resistor in one end of each clip under my seats....supposedly this is suposed to stop the airbag lights coming on.

I took this out and reconnected the two halves of the connector and it seems to have worked.

Any time the light comes on is usually after a bumpy ride and fiddling under the seats makes it go out again!
