Hiya guys

I used to post on here when I had my old 19 cab,,but forgot my old log in email, so re registered..

I regrettably sold my awesome 19.. Had a few cars and vans since now I have an old mark 1 Clio 1.4 auto only done 39.000 miles

I went out tonight and realised half way to shop my lights were only on parked..further inspection when I turn stalk from parked to full no change,,my high beam works fine and when I turn back to park ,I hear a clicking noise from fuse box on passenger side footwell .. Can anyone help me work out what it is please I have been searching on here for over hour and have not got anywhere

Thanks in advance

I,d say its your lights/indicator stalk thats knackered.had the same trouble with 1 of my 19s.

Thanks devo..

I forgot to mention that I had an old guy reverse into the car and break a back light, I found one at local breakers and plugged it in and fitted it..it's all working so didn't think it could be this,,but it's a face lift model of the mark 1 and on 2nd thought wondered if it might be the wrong one..but it fitted straight on plugs and all... I've only just got it so it way have been like it before the accident... Maybe why it's only done 39 000 miles cos it's daylight miles haha...

no it wont have been the replaced back light no chance i would think. i would replace the stalk, same happened on my current 19 and it was the stalk, if that doesnt work get back on here

Thanks bncrew I remember your name from last time I came on here so I am sure you helped me loads with my 19 cabby lol..I will try the replacement of the stalk soon,,if it's not that I will return lol until then I'm curfewed to not drive in dark lol

Regards

Lisa :-)

check the bulbs first, yes 2 bulbs can blow at the same time especially when one had a bump and the other was from a scrappy.

But stalk is a common issue but not for headlights only mainbeam

Hiya Chris

I also remember them boobies lol

I took off the back light and it was full of water not a good start..so I changed over the bulb holder and put the 3 bulbs back in..they looked ok.. My mate had put it on in the dark so I'm suspecting he hadn't put it in at the bottom properly and that's why water was inside..poor car.. But sadly the lights still the same...driving my van around at mo and busy trying to install a bath..but will try to sort it out soon but for now will have to be my daytime drive lol

Thanks for the help :-)

Regards

Lisa
