5 GT Turbo Pistons

Hi All

Need to start rebuild on my fives engine and thinking while its in bits might as well fit new pistons and liners.

Question is what make to get? CGB sell Federal Mogul but no idea of quality of these plus need to get all bearings, likewise do I also buy these from CGB?

Thanks

James

Yep, as Brigsy said. Alternatively, I always rated/used/recommended Tarabusi P&Ls, or J.E pistons if going down the forged route.

Total Seal piston rings are a worthwhile investment too.

I miss rebuilding the old C1Js... :(

What power are you aiming for 220 -240+bhp, and standard will eventually crack, but below 220 ... You'll be able to hand them down to the grandkids....... New rings on a rebuild is always a great idea...:bz:

:-)

Kool, is there anyone local to Sheffield who could give Pistons once over to see if new rings will be sound. Might sound daft but it's my first engine build. Don't want to fuck everything up

Cheers all for advice

5 years at 235hp on original pistons and liners, if you set them up properly no issues;) i have never cracked a liner personally, its only down to poor fuelling or det
