yes thats rite the old bonnet was rotten and i could not find a 16v ph1 bonnet but i found a 1.4 ph1 in the scrap yard so i got the bonnet for £10 and put my vent in. so please tell me how can you tell its not a 16v bonnet as i need this car to be mint as i am going to use it for show

Because the vent is sitting on top of the bonnet rather than being recessed into it

yes i think i got it for £125 spent a bom on it in the 12 month i have had it

TBH some of the really early valvers didnt have vented bonetts, the one on the original R19 ph1 ad didn't have one so you would of been ok with a non vented bonett

the bonnet gets very hot with out it as its for the manifold i think

yeah i think things would be a little warm without one, even my 1.4 kicks a fair bit of heat out of the vent
