PH3 Black 21T

Lol...hmmm Jon are you sure, I'm in the process of rebuilding a car that was once in yours and Ellis' hands......and you say yours has had dubious owners???

May I ask a question, you had a Black ph2 that'd had months of Jo rebuilding it, you decide to sell because you hanker for a White ph1, only to buy another Black ph2/3........why?

Don't get me wrong I'm happy that 121 KOR is back, just curious.

Lee......the black pearl was a great car, it went really well & served it's purpose in the Alps.....but the body work was a tad "tired" & it needed cosmetic attention (re-spray - rust attending to - etc....you get the picture) & i didn't bond with it........I sold it to Ollie as he's always wanted a black 21 & is in the position to turn her round........
Agreed, i was gonna buy a phase 1 & hopefully a white one...but i couldn't wait as my buddy in his Alpine wants a hoonage partner & a man needs something other than a diesel beemer in his life.......
Never had a phase 3 & Daz's looks nice n clean & doesn't need anything doing to it for the moment........
So if it's alright with you (by the way Mrs Cooke was cool) i'll buy it & enjoy it......
In the words of someone unknown "do one".....:tape:

Lol if I'd asked that question......in a pub or at a meet, chances are you'd answer with that wry smile you carry and it'd be a pleasant convo.....yet on here you ask 'if its alright by me' and then tell me to 'do one'.
Whether or not the wife was cool is of no concern to me (obligatory )

Brilliant.

Ohh....you make me chuckle.......shame we don't live closer we could meet up & wind random folks up just for the hell of it.....(said with a wry smile....)
If it is ok with you i'll continue the purchase of said phase 3 & hopefully enjoy the car & meeting up with fellow 21 owners in due course.....

Regards

gay & gayer

Well the day is nearly here....this time tomorrow (assuming the car is as described) I'll be heading south on the M74 towards England....in a phase 3....never owned one but have been informed that they're the smoothest to drive.....always been a phase 1 fan so I'm looking forward to seeing how the phase drives for the 450 mile trip home...:-)

I got out of a phase 3 once and compared it to a Lexus. It was that blue one currently being broken for a clutch.

So nice. As was the one you are about to purchase, I should have kept it.

Thanks Lee...that's good to know....can't wait....as I've said before if the black pearl was straighter I'd have kept it...but onwards & upwards - phase 3 here I come..:-)

safe journey Jon - make sure you got insurance LOL and look out for flames from the bonnet! Also appreciate if you can square the seller up for my purrrrr-chase.

if you happen to be passing me, then stop in for a cuppa and a chat, and I'll show you the General Lee

Talking off the general Lee, me & my mate bob have bought a 50/50 challenge car....you're gonna love it...!! (it's matt black & a coupe)
Photo's to follow once we've picked it up on Sunday....:-)

I won't be coming back via Slough but I'll be up soon enough...!!

If your going down the A34, then turn off before Wantage, and get yourself a blast along Chainhill road! It's an epic piece of road!

Oh and a black coupe..... Must be MR2 ? Volvo ?

I'm so gonna miss that challenge!!!

Its a Capri

No, to expensive - the budget's ?250 & it must be taxed & tested....
More clues: fwd :-( 2ltr, 1997, not European & it cost ?237.00 with tax & mot until October..:-)
It's been sprayed matt black & is covered in scumball rally style graphics including massive scallop decals on both flanks......rat stylie...!!!
Photos to follow tomorrow (once we've picked up)

It's gone, feeling a little sad actually.

Phil, somehow between us we have forgotten to swap over the cash for the wheel bearing, Jon does have the bearing though.

You could either bank transfer or send via paypal as a gift?

****, sorry Darren, was so eager to get on the road I forgot to give you the ?25....from Phil....
Just got back - took just over 6 hours...not bad if you ask me...:-)
Car goes a treat and pulls like a train over 80mph in 5th...awesome...
Just need to sort the notchy gearbox (molyslip) & find out what's causing that anoying "clonk"
Thanks again for the tea & biscuits - enjoy the 300zx and the rabbits...:-)
