spoke to tony a few weeks ago before the shoot so its
great to Jan/Feb issue and see the 5 page article on "primas" europacup, 2 mags in 2 months, cant fault it..... :D

as the article now also gives a hint on the cars future, its very possible
the europacup should soon be leaving this country to reside in the renault heritage collection, great to atlast see renault take an interest in it after they saw it at the WSR event in Donny.
but its sad to see it leave here, as up intill now in the UK we had 2 of the few original race livery europa cups,, being primas and bob claxtons. and to make matters worse i was only a grand away of raising the funds to keep it in the UK
at least it will live on,also heard a rumour that Renault Heritage will get Jo?l Gouhier to drive it at a future event sumwhere :D

I've hunted high and low to find that magazine but can not find it any where :( but still looking.
Tony offered me the spare gearbox but I just didn't have the funds to buy it especialy when I thinking of a major purchase for the car in the new year :?:  so it looks like it will all go abroad :(

the spare gearbox should be staying in the UK as renault doesnt require it, seems they have spare gearboxes ,, but no spare engines.
tony is still looking at selling the box if anyone is interested, but it is does come with hefty price

the PGTi magaizine has only just come out,(whsmith) its the jan/feb issue, where as the retro car article was a few weeks ago

I can confirm the car is sold !!!!!!

The car has been bought by Renault heritage (France) so she will be returning to her home soil. At least we know she will be kept at her very best, instead of being sold to a guy who only see's her as a means of getting round a circuit quick ....at the end of the day she could have ended in her days in the Armco  I hope that we see her again on british soil :?:  well here's hoping [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

Which brings me to my next point I would like to thank lads in the Team who organised to have her on the stand at French car day, It was great on the day and now I look back and now in retro......spect 8) It was fantasic, because we wont get another chance like that now

Lyndon It would have been fantastic to have kept her hear mate, but, I really think the cost of keeping her here would have been astronomic with parts being one off's specially machined or built, she's in the right place Im sure; hopefully we will see her again in the near future ......as posted anyone fancy a trip to lemans next year!????

its actualy winging its way back to France as you read this.

only real cost of keeping it in the UK wuda been maintanance, and if running it, its if you break anything, theres half a dozen still being driven and running track time in france,, so its tyres, brakes and oil changes, tho if i had of got it wuda prob just done the shows,,as she realy is too good to play around on the track and risk it.

Tony as implicated that he wil speak to Christian at renault heritage and possibly organise a visit to the museum sometime next year, possibly coincide it with one of the french car shows.

Gutted its leaving.

Happy I got to see it used in anger at the brunters shoot though, he drove it like it was built for.

Anyone who owns that car and doesnt use it properly needs shooting!!!

A Sad loss to our club events.

better.....

better get a tow hitch sorted on my new van then, lololol.
was worth all the hastle getting the car to french car show just to see the smile on peoples faces.

ummm was either 1k or 1.5 k  dont quote me on it

now i was expecting you to say ?5k or summat along those lines....!

Now call me ignorant, but what's special about it?

Its a europa box. If you dont know what that means, dont worry 'bout it lol.

I Believe it will not mate to a normal 21 engine, correct me if im wrong. If I had a G spare id buy it seeing as a UN1 LSD is ?700 squids before fitting, and authourised dealer markups, plus you supply the box and so on.

It should be a dog box too but im not sure, thats 2nd and 3rd on the same gate.

Straight cut gear whine......YUMMY :P  :D :D

Oooohhh stoppit lyn im getting a chubby thinkin about a dog box with straight cut gears and LSD......

Good job i not got a 2wd no more or i'd be down the bank by now.
