No problem Pete..

Still have the same folk going to Prescott for La Vie en Bleu! The weather forecast is excellent... its promising to be a great day!

I think most of you have my mobile now.. any problems, just let me know.

See you at Reading services at 08.00 for those heading north.. and see the rest of you at the Oxford services on the A34 at 09.00.

Looking good people!

spent all afternoon cleaning car cant wait it will be a great day, ill c u at 8 if i have any prob ill let you know m8

Thanks for showing up at Prescott guys, was great to see you go up the hill, maybe someone have a go at speed next year?
Sorry I couldnt spend too much time with you, as you could see I was kept busy. My final timed run was not so good as the Spider running before me (the race version) went off the hill at the last bend where there is no barrier just a steep grassy bank with bushes at the bottom. I was therefore stopped half way through what felt like a good run and then given a re run but not knowing about how the other driver and car was somewhat spoiled my concentration so it was my slowest time of the day. I came 2nd of the 3 spiders there and had a lot of fun doing it. Surprisingly, fastest time of the day was set by a Renault 5 GT turbo, a well sorted one mind.
If anyone has the bug and wants to do it next year, let me know and it can be arranged.

video of you guys on the hill here

Nice little video Mark! Thanks for posting it up. Hope the chap who came off at the top came away unscaithed, and his Spider didnt suffer too much damage! Good to see you, and what you get up to at theses events. Please pass on many thanks to the RAOC and Renault teams who were extremely accomodating and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

Once again, many thanks to everyone who was able to attend the meet at Oxford and the drive across to Prescott, hampered only by the sunday drivers who were indeed out in force lol. Great to catch up with everyone again, and to meet Adam 'stoner' in his newly purchased Acid Yellow, keeping it looking very much cared for too!

High lights of the day.? Well I guess for me, was seeing not one, but 4 Bugatti Veyrons in the metal for the first time! Especially the polished and carbon fibre one in the tent. Lovely cars.. although as Bill Patchell pointed out, not too keen on the E.M.L. mesh on the around the engine lol. Was also particularly good to see Ayrton Senna's Renault powered Lotus F1 car go up the hill a few times. So many great cars there!!

The weather held out too.. brilliant! All in all, as per usual, great day with a great group of like minded frinds. Good choice of pub in the evening too, thanks James! I think we might use this place again sometime, as long as they sort out their understaffed kitchen.. eeek.

Hope everyone got back home ok. Had a nice lil drive back with Peter too.. very finely matched. I'm very interested to get mine on a rolling raod sometime soon after that

Thanks again to everyone, including.. last by by no means least.. Brett and his family for sorting out the route from Oxford to Prescott, shame we didnt have time to stop at Bourton, another time hopefully!!

Bring on the next meet! All ideas welcome!

Shaun

I'd like to say a big thanks to the RAOC for treating us so well and giving us such a great day. Wasn't really expecting that. Wasn't really expecting the weather either but it turned out to be the hotest day of the year so far!! 8) The run up the hill was a giggle if a little short but is definatly a good excuse to get into the trials and have a few go's instead of just the one....and at speed too!! Drove home last night thinking about it and its definatly something im going to look into. Either with the clio or my 1960 Mini Miglia...........the hill was missing a vee in my opinion

Thanks again

yes he did ok with his runs dont know how he finished nice to see a t2 up the hill

he won his class, but beaten overall by a 5 GT turbo.

When i spoke to him last week he reckoned that the T2 he was taking wasnt anything special re; power, thought he might have been having me on [smilie=doubt.gif]

A good meet by all reports, and very pleased to read of the help given by RAOC. Many thanks.

Don't be shy with the pictures. ;)
