No problem Davie, you're most welcome to join us. Will you be with us into Prescott also?

See you at The Ace Cafe as discussed..

Ok folks.. final details for the meet at the weekend.

After much ground work by both myself and Brett, thanks fella... we now have a nice little route planned for the drive overto Presscott from Oxford.

Meet at the service ares on the A34, just passed the A40, by the A44, at 09.00!

Leave the service area BY 09.15. :approve:

From there, head east along the A40 to Burford. Then North up the A361 to Chipping Norton, picking up the A40 Eastwards to Broadway. Stop and stretch our legs a bit at the view point, before back traking a short distance to the A424 South to Stow-on-the-Wold. A429 down to Bourton-on-the-Water, West along the A436 to Cheltenham and Prescott Hill climb. Arriving sometime between 10.30 and 11.00.

I realise this early leaving time wont please everyone, but it really is thge only way to get an uncongested drive in, and still get to Prescott at a half reasonable time.

Tickets are still available on the gate, so dont worry those of you without. The cars will all be parked together in the show ground. Also, each car and occupents will be able to take the car up the hill climb course sometime during the afternoon should anyone wish, though this is not a race. 8)

I'd anticipate leaving Prescott by around 18.00hrs. The plan then is head towards Oxford along the A40 and meet any others that would still like a V6 meet but without the early start and the Presscott event. 19.00hrs at a pub close to Oxford for food, V6 talk and general p1ss taking i'd imagine. The only detail missing is a good pub to meet at.. so any sugestions by those locally would be great. I'll post up a post code asap for those wishing to meet up there.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!

Shaun

I thought the plan was Oxford then off to the hill climb. I was looking forward to Sunday lunch with Vees! My mistake. Doh! :(

Hi Pete,

Yes, that is the usual drill. However, as we're paying to get in to Prescott we want to make the most of it. As most people are now attending Prescott, it seems to make sense to do it this way around.

Also.. it'll mean you get to have a little lay in, and also get time to get johny foreigner to clean the car for you..! hahaha We'd love to have you join us in the morning tho bud.. :D

Please confirm the pub for the evening meet in Oxford.

If i'm able to get to the mornign stuff i'll let you all know.

Cheers
Peter :D

As mentioned in the update post.. location of the pub close to Oxford for the evening meet tbc as soon as I can find somewhere suitable for our cars.. please bare with me. [smilie=hungry.gif]

Final instructions for those going to Prescott is now posted in the thread, here
not too late to register for the parade up the hill but not sure you will be able to do so on the day. Tickets for general entry on the day can be bought at the gate.

I can confirm a table reservation for aprox 6-8 persons, for 19.30 at the following

Rose Revived Inn
New Bridge,
Witney
Oxfordshire.
OX29 7QD

Rose Revived Inn

Its a great looking place which comes recomended from a local member. There's ample paring, and its right on the riverside.
If you would like to eat please add your name below, so that I can confirm covers for the restaurant.

The weather forecast from the Met. Office is looking very promising for both Sat. and Sunday!

Good choice of pub Shaun

Thanks Mark, I was going to put up another link myself, but you're way ahead of me. [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

Regarding the parade up the hill, are we to register seperately for this, as well as completing the entry form that was available on Monday eve at the Ace..? Only, after chatting to My Dell, I assumed the parade was 'part' of the whole exhibitors package.

Perhaps you could confirm the deal here? :D

Thanks,

Shaun

Yes Shaun, if you have registered, ie. filled in the form, then you can be part of the parade. (and recieve your Renault Goodie bag!) If you just turn up and buy a ticket on the day you will not be part of the parade. Just remember though, any delays in the racing usually means the parade my be altered or even canceled and the timings at the moment are subject to change.

Thanks Mark! I thought that might be the case/ Just thought i'd check, to avoid disappointment on the day lol

Do you know what time you're racing yet btw?

2 practice runs in the morning, 2 timed runs after lunch, I am running car number 142 so will go out after all the old banger Bugattis and stuff almost at the end. Runs start at 9.15 so I wont be out till well after 10 at a guess.

Veyrons and JPS Lotus Renault are due out at 10.30 and between 1 and 2pm and again at 3.30
Keep an eye out for John Price running car number 133.
Weathers looking good, but hang on, i have never driven this course in the dry yet...... getting nervous already. Its dead narrow out there, no room for errors at all.

also competing is Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason in car number 75,

May have to sign a disclaimer before taking part in the cavelcade, do this when you sign in at the Renault caravan and collect your gift bag.
