Old school hammers

I think this is mainly due to spending my formative years watching them bombing around in both DTM and BTCC

I'm with you on this one Neal, mentioned the 155 to an Alfa mate* recently and he looked puzzled, so i guess they haven't quite reached classic status in Alfa circles. Hopefully they will before they all disappear.

I had a DtM 155 scalextric car in the 90's, now resides with a mate in Cornwall, it was orange and i think sponsored by Jagermeister, driven by Tarquini??

Express drug/body delivery!

Designed using a straight edge, as all good retro cars are, and despite being wrong-wheel-drive and decidedly average in most respects, I have a soft spot for the Alfa Romeo 155 in red.

I remember a few of these from when I was younger, the nova gte in silk violet rare... with the standard 3 spoke? I had a mk2 16 in red with tsw venom once :D. The two colours of cossies are good, imperial blue being my fave but I also like aubergine. Miami blue is awesome for a 205 gti by far the best colour...

I had a black 205 1.9 gti when I was 19 an absolute minter, lift off oversteer out of a corner, broad sided and hit a telegraph pole (just behind my drivers seat) at 80-90mph and rolled it twice how I survived I don't know??? (seat belt on i suppose) Here's the pic's.

did you walk away from this mess? you got lucky i think, that looks fairly nasty

did any of those make it over here?

Crap but fun I reckon.

Not officially, but quite a few were imported in the 80's and early 90's.
I lived in Streatham back then and the guy across the road from me,used to import American cars.He made a killing, importing Geo Trackers (Suzuki Vitara's) and selling them to Yuppies,as they had leather, aircon etc.Anyway,he treated himself to a brand new GNX,with all the factory performance options.Took me for a spin down to Brooklands when they had a Yank day and the way the tyres lit up in a straight line left a big impression!
In it's day,it was one of the fastest accelerating production cars you could buy. 0-60 was less than 5 secs

Yeah I walked away un hurt luckily, the pictures were taken the day after the car had been recovered. The car actually landed upside down in a ditch and the full petrol tank had burst, I was dangling by my seat belt covered in petrol in the pitch dark. The telegraph pole shattered into pieces and the power cables came down all over the road, could have been up in flames or if the pole had of hit my drivers door rather than the pillar behind me I wouldn't of been here now.

Very lucky, I knew of a girl who hit a tree head on at 40-50mph broke her neck and died instanly.

Not even a mile away from where I crashed the 205, she had a blue 206.
