Just ventured back on the forum to report my first sighting for about 2-3 years.

Reminds me how much I miss my old iceberg silver #006 which I sold in 2006.

Any of the old gang still here from those days? James in his BL Brown phase2, Scott still fixing them? Still harbour a long term desire to revisit vee ownership... Rekindled as of 10 mins ago!

Dave

Hi Dave.... Welcome back, always nice to see past owners checking in to say hello.

James is still about, as is his Deep Bronze Vee. Scott is still working hard trying to keep up with the demand for fixing and modifying them :) Still a reasonable amount of the old crew here or not too far away, which is great :)

Are you looking at having another dabble in v6 ownership? :)

Shaun

Hi Shaun - not going to be back anytime soon - have 3 cars currently and my missus won't agree to a 4th, but maybe in the next 2 years. Always fancied a mars red or liquid yellow phase 2. I actually prefer the look & raw-ness of the original phase 1 like I had before but this time around I'd want the luxuries of climate control & cruise control. That's what growing older does to you!

You'll know when my return is imminent as ill be asking questions about Cambelt change and what the latest is on coil packs!

:welcome: back. I briefly spoke to a previous owner of 006 completely by chance in Alton, Hampshire last September when my car was on display in the high street as part of a car show, but I'm guessing it wasn't you as you say you haven't seen another v6 for 2 - 3 years, maybe it was the person you sold it to.

It's a small world this v6 community, isn't it :). It's always nice to have a chat about these cars and meet people who have previously owned them or have stories about them. Hopefully we can lure you back behind the wheel :approve:.

Welcome back Dave, I'm still here also but On my 3rd Vee now a mars red ph2 :)

You will be back sooner or later I can guarentee :approve:

Well in the blink of an eye another 4 years has passed... and today while bored I checked out the prices of the Vee..... "HOW MUCH???!??!" is all I have to say to that!

I sold my Vee in 2006 for £9k and could barely muster any interest for it - back then you could get a Ph2 for £12k-ish! Here we are now 11 years later and the cheapest I can find is almost £20k!

I always said that one day I'd be back... but judging by the way prices are going I may well be priced out of that now....

Any of the old chaps still here who have owned their cars from new(ish)?

I'm here just about, but I let mine go to a new owner last year. It was gathering sawdust in the garage.

Good to see you on the forum again Dave.

Hi Dave,

Few of us 'doubled up' on Vee ownership when we realised that they were sorely under-priced. This has meant that we've truly nailed our colour to the Vee mast.

The uplift in values has probably lead to a few more being squirrelled away and less being used.

I personally find that the 'theatre' of getting into a Vee (and driving off into the sunset) never fades.

Regards
Kett
