changed oil now it pours from the sump plug. yes i fitted a new washer although its now slowed to a drip .tightened it sum more washers flat as a pancake. any solutions as oil thats leaking is black up top on stick its newish. i do have a spare new washer. if it dont stop ill pull plug out and fit new washer. how can i stop the oil pouring out when the sump plugs removed . any thoughts. darnt tighten it any more.

Take the sump plug out again, you have to.

Catch the oil in a clean container so you can put it back.

Fit a new copper washer (make sure it is clean first) and tighten the sump plug by hand, don't overdo it and strip the thread or you have a problem.

hi yes may have to do that i know ive gone tight with the plug. if id stripped it thought it wud have just spun round wunt it. im going to block hole up with a beer mat as i change the washer over. yes im a octopus with 8 hands.
