Old enough to know better
so after W.S.R. i drove home, at some point having turned left out of the main gate and gone down some country lanes my car made some worrying noises while turning.
It started off with a crunch then sounded like something was rubbing. Then the steering wheel jerked side to side while going round a roundabout and i decided to drive home very slowly. The car was fine on the straight motorway.
On getting home i had the o/s wheel off and a butchers but couldn't see anything untoward.
So i am asking are these classic driveshaft CV joint gone symptoms and if so can any one provide me with a good replacement or is the factors the way to go?!
As luck wouldn't have it i have this one but is it's for the other side!

does anyone know the make, is it ok?

and finally, how long can you drive around with a noisy d'shaft before it becomes critical?!
