Taking a vee around a circuit is great fun. Driven in a sympathetic manner, and always within your own ability and comfort zone, the smiles are endless... they are such an engaging and capable car. One has to exercise a huge amount of caution however should there be the smallest of rain clouds within sight.

Bedford is a great first port of call for the freshest of track day enthusiast. With plenty of run off, it's the perfect track to learn how the v6 Clio behaves. A full geometry check is probably advisable, especially if the car is new to you.

Buy one.. they're very addictive.

I was lucky enough to be able to take Renaults own cars around various circuits back in the day. I'd love to be in a position to buy a second ph2 vee, I just can't bring myself to hoon the Lunar around a circuit. :)

I'm hoping to do Bedford if a Renaultsport day falls good for me. I bet the V6 is good fun on track, if not the fastest, but for me trackdays are about fun and not being the quickest out there.

Though it won't be a track car as such, I just want somewhere to explore the car in a safer environment, looking to get another track car next year for regular track days

Been using the vee as a daily last 3 weeks and thankful I have done a few trackdays to gauge the ability of the vee in the changing conditions. TBH glad its the last day I have to use it cos you are always on the edge with the risk of black ice and ends swopping without much warning or effort! Backend can get quite twitchy and with a light front end its ever so interesting to drive! Prefer dry spring/summer days!!
I still get amused when I see people gawping at the vee as I drive past especially a black vee standing out against all the snow!
Get a vee as your weekend car, do a track day (Bedford is also good place to experience sudden understeer to oversteer effect in the dry) so you can learn the behaviour and abilities of the vee which will stand you in good stead for fast road drives and just enjoy the pleasure of owning such a rare car.
