it was piston ring failure due to the second engine I got having rust on cylinder walls and the mechanic saying he had sorted it when he hadn't

Ano but the plus side is forged rods in the other getting fitted

Got the car back with the Manley forged rods fitted and a complete engine over haul! I've never heard such a sweet sound meg engine, booked myself in at rstuning for a rolling road and diagnostics just to see if everything's sweet. I'll post an update Thursday once I been

So got back from rstuning, now back on standard map, ridiculous unsafe map I had 1.5bar at 30% throttle, injectors maxed out at 5300rpm so my injectors are pretty much naff now, there was more wrong but I just didn't want to ask lol, so had the standard files put back on by Paul, feels weird but at least I won't be getting yet another engine! Lesson learnt now.

There was a reason I recommended them. However , rather than sitting and gloating I am happier still that you found the issue and will be keeping this lump in one piece.

I understand though bud, JHM in Wakefield, James Hanks he was meant to be a mate but has cost me 2 engines a turbo and £4000 in total!
