mint renault 5 turbo 200bhp

mint condition renault 5 gt turbo RTOC MEMBERS CAR (renault turbo owners club) :D

undergone full respray 4 months ago (beautiful spray job) originally silver but resprayed in the same silver found on modern renaults,de locked,new front wings,new bonnet,the windscreen surround panel has been replaced so no rust there like all the rest! new front windscreen,new bumpers,new grill, all genuine renault panels/parts. new goodridge braided brake lines all round. clifford cat1 alarm with certificate.

lowered all round on diamond cut clio wheels (mint condition no curbage) with fairly new goodyear eagle f1 tyres.

interior:

full retrimmed leather interior in grey/black,momo steering wheel,snap off boss. mocal in car boost gauge.infinity 6x9 rear speakers.

engine spec:

forged pistons,steel liners, t3/t28 hybrid turbo with -34 cosworth actuator, fast road camshaft,2.5 exhaust downpipe,2.5 side exit exhaust.pace chargecooler conversion.paddle clutch. full silicone hoses,new radiator.modded carb, bigger venturi and alloy carb top etc. front mount oil cooler kit. omex rev limiter. baileys header tank,alloy swirl pot. new uprated fuel pump and filter. kevlar turbo heat shield. stainless steel strut brace. new ecu from renault.

its also had new drive shafts from renault,chrome wishbones,poly anti roll bar bushes,new uprated alternater, new starter motor. new engine mounts.

engine has covered around 15000 since rebuild.

rolling roaded at 187bhp on 15psi,now running 18psi so should be around 200bhp.

tax runs out end of this month (but can be renewed if the buyer wishes to), mot until jan 2007

this rare hot hatch has been very well looked after and will be sad to see her go however loss of job forces sale =(

:P :P theyre alot easier to extract power from thats for sure :twisted: however traction is an issue :roll:

That's more than a 21 turbo does on a 2 litre engine!

That sounds about right Joff...2 years ago when I had mine RR'd for the 1st time after I built it it managed to put out 191bhp at 16psi....last year with a new uprated headgasket :oops: and a T25 turbo it managed 199.7bhp at 18psi.

So yes i'd agree that they are easier to tune than the 21Turbo,what also hepls is the fact that everything you need to do this is available off the shelf. :D

And also,traction is definately an issue with that sort of power in such a light car,makes for an entertaining drive if anything!!!!

Oh yeah and back to the original post,MAN THATS A SWEET LOOKING GT YOU GOT THERE!!!! 8)

If I had the money i'd be on the phone to you now,but alas I have more than enough cars to keep me busy and the small part of NO MONEY :cry:

my phase 1 gtt ive owned for 8 yrs runs @ 26psi with the help of a turbo2 cylinder head ,and shreds original gearbox,s in 1 week flat lmao :shock: :D lol no kidding due to be rolling roaded next week
ill post the results when i find out lol

Got any pics of your engine and manifolds etc, preferably in car, I'm very interested?

I don't know of any Gt turbos with genuine turbo 2 cylinder heads,theres a very small number with gordini turbo cylinder heads but there are differences between the two.

Running efi or still carb'd?

Mmmmm...you got any pictures of said beast??(mainly the engine) and i'd be interested to know how long it took you to convert it,what problems you encountered and what carb you're using??

Also,what turbo are you using on it?? Imagine it'd be something quite big..
