Megane Trophy R retains FWD Nurburgring record

Think the bit that surprises me is that he never used 6th year until the main straight, rest of the time 5th gear upto 6k...

Needless to say very impressive car and driving

I thought that, bouncing on 244kmh which is 152mph. I think the limit on mine at 280hp was 158, post that I've seen 163 and climbing.

Few more clips posted today with Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo driving them around the Monaco circuit. @now I wanna go clubsport spec after seeing these!

I cant help but feel a bit short changed by the colour scheme!?

I would drop the red decals on the site, have the black inlet body colour coded and make the rear spoiler over the window black.

How many lap records are there for the Ring?
Fastest FWD with the driver wearing Nike?
Fastest over 15stone in a road car?

I was wondering the same, great bit of advertisement though.

I'm all for records being broken but this type of scenario tells me that in theory at least, is a slightly flawed representation of performance in a market saturated with a huge combination of hot hatches of many different varieties.

Surely you want to compare a record against a like for like model from a competitor? For example the Honda lap time was with a car fitted with a cage, better tyres etc

But I get why there is appeal for people when you see the statistics, it is incredible to think that a potential daily driver (?), a Renault, can compete with automotive engineering powerhouses such as Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche etc 🙌👍
