Since I'm watching this forum for quite a while now, I thought it was time to finally introduce myself.
Another Dutch guy, currently living in the Rotterdam area. Owned my current 5 GT Turbo from 2008 and started restoring it in 2010. Took me around 5 years to 'complete', although it's never ever done. But in 2015 the car finally was back on the road since 2002.
Started out as a bare shell:

For a '86 car, minimum welding was necessary (lucky me).

After welding, delivered it to the bodyshop:

While having issues with choosing the new color of the car, I started of with the collection of new parts (big thanks to CGB for that):

Eventually (after many months) I chose the color and the engine bay + inside of the car was sprayed. The outside of the car was only primered to prevent any damages during the rest of the rebuild:

The GTT came back home and I started with the build; All new brake lines, powdercoated subframe and rear beam, new brakes all round, polybushed subframe etc. etc. Nothing is untouched:

New roof liner in alcantara and flocked interior panels:

All the detail work started to bore me, so eventually started with the full rebuild of the C1J:

Dropped it in the engine bay:

Ended up in this horrendous snake-pit:

Fitting back the dashboard with its new loom and fired the engine up for the first time and succesfully completed its break-in. So it was off to the bodyshop again:

Color applied (R35 GTR):

Time for the rewarding work, putting the car together:

Carb rebuild #1 (of many):

Bucket seats and more interior work:

And finally back on the road again, attending the first meeting in many years:

After breaking in the engine for ~1000km and many (many) minor breakdowns (mainly carb related) it was time to start enjoying the car.

Eventually got to setting up the carb and booked the car in for a first dyno run in 2016:

Last month did my second dyno run with the carb converted to a 'Gr. A' venturi and put out ~166whp / 247Nm.
Next up is to solve the massive oil leakage from the sump / chain cover (already attempted 2 times so not much motivation for it left now) and looking for upgrades to reach some more HP. For now, I'm leaving the carb as is. Next thing must definitely be EFI-ing the C1J or swap for a F4R (already standing by) and turbo that. Just a matter of time and €'s I guess.
Will keep you guys updated!
