Marks RX7 - lets break a rotary.

I collected the car from the body shop today after two months.

I had the windscreen surround rust sorted and a new OEM Mazda seal used which looks awesome. The passenger side rear arch needed sorting with some bubbling and a section underneath the spat needed remaking with fresh metal. Also had some surface rust removed underneath the rear seats, front bumper scrape done and then FEED side steps adding.

The Winchester sump was rubbing on the subframe so gave this a little bit of clearance too.

Next up, booked in with Level Motorsport first week of Jan to have the 02 sensor fault fixed, i then plan to book dyno in Feb.

The wiring saga continues sadly.

I did manage to go to a local meet at the beginning of Jan and was snapped by Kyza, I do like his work. Far too cold for me though so didn’t hang around too long.

I had the car trailered to Level Motorsport wiring for some loom troubleshooting. This intermittent lambda issue is proving to be a real pain in the arse.

Despite my home testing showing there was no voltage as Sod’s Law would have it his tests showed that the sensor was reading.

Screen shot of sensor working as I picked the car up.

I picked the car up and within 5 mins the sensor failed again.

This screenshot shows the fault as the lambda issue pinned to 0.98.

Quick shot on the way home feeling very disappointed that the issue still exists, looks good though ❤️

After much idling at the wiring shop the plugs were fouled so swapped out for a new set of BR10EG.

ECU is now with Syvecs to have that tested in order to rule out an ECU fault. I’m expecting it to come back fine so next steps will be back to wiring place to formulate a proper fix. I just want to get this thing on the dyno.
