Look out, another Gearbox Question!

^^^This is why many Vees will be written off in the next 10 years.. If somebody buys a car for £10k for example, rather than a £17k one, they are less likely to want to pay for £2k of work...

Yes, I spoke to Scot. I'm planning on a new box from Renault at around £1700 (VAT included) and also replacement belts, w/pump, new clutch etc. Comes in at around £3700! Planning on getting it done next year now. We are around £1200 short at the mo hahahaha. That said, if a second hand Ph2 box shows its face, I may opt to buy it and get it refurbed.

Did you see this link I posted in Pistonhead finds section? :

If I was awake I would be useful! Thanks Phil.

I've emailed the seller asking for its distinguishing marks. What should I expect him to send me if it is a Ph2 Box? i.e. style/composition of serial numbers.

Update: Spoke to Scot. Whilst on the phone he viewed P.Heads and confirmed that the box is a Ph2. Cheers Scot :approve:
