Long stored R5 GT Turbo

Wow it looks like an honest example, and can't be in too-bad a condition as it's been inside for all those years.

Do you have a budget in mind? To give you an idea, 5's are being particularly tricky to price at the moment, with people generally wanting Mint OE examples that are selling for £10 - £20K whilst modified ones have gone out of favour..... however the ex GT Tuning Demo car is on eBay at the moment for very big money (£18K ish..)

I'd say there are enough people busting their boilers at the moment for "project cars" or "barn finds" that if you advertised the car with an open auction on eBay (and prepare for the barrage of chancers, scumbags and jokers) you'll get the best price.

I Imagine an advert reading something like "MODIFIED RENAULT 5 GT TURBO BARN FIND" will get the juices flowing...

HOWEVER... if the mileage is legit and you have some history with the car, it would be very easy for someone to buy it, put an original engine back in... and then watch the price SKYROCKET..!

Without wanting to sound rude.....Mate - you're off your rocker.

You are asking ten grand for a car that hasn't moved in a quarter of a century. You havent bothered to even wash it or clear the shit out of the boot. The advert description is...I'm looking for the right adjective.... Lazy? Rubbish?

Picture yourself as a buyer looking at that ad. If you're going to put zero effort into selling the thing at least lower your expectations with the price. I'd skim right by that ad and go for this one, up and running on the road for less money.

Or how about this for the same money

Ask yourself which car out of the three you would go look at as a buyer and maybe rethink your approach if you really want to move the car on.

:)

Straight to the point^^....
But not far off, I don’t know what 5 GT’s actually fetch , as in what actual money is changing hands, everyone has their opinions.
Depends how quick you want to move it on, if you’re not in a rush a classified ad might be a better option, see who looks at it, how hard jungle drums beat, let people bid you on it and take serious peoples details.
Rose tinted retro specs put lots of value on things these days, I’m in the old stuff is nice, but old camp, and old means headaches and problems.
But you’ll only sell it once , so may as well cash in if you can, I’ve done the same in the past, cash is king.

An add like this gets you checking out the competition. There’s a lot out there when you look . My conclusion is this , as it is £5000 , running and rolling £6-7k MOT ‘ed and tidied up
£9-£10k
Obviously my own opinion but I bet I’m not far out . No disrespect intended just looked at what as actually sold .
