I had some fun this morning on the a63. Its a different route into Leeds avoiding the m62. It was early as I needed to be in Leeds for 0615 to get back to Doncaster for a 0900 meeting. This is the road from google maps



As you can see I joined from the a1(m) heading in the direction of the m1. Some great roundabouts , straights and bends. Really, really enjoyed the spirited ride over to RSTuning.

Looks like I have a weeping rear right shocker , small oil leak ( TBC ) and the aux belt is fraying.

I’ll get the aux belt done immediately , the oil leak investigated and the shocker sent away after Blyton.

There is only the clam to replace now and I have rebuilt the car

I am not worried. Not one bit.

Needs a power run on Dyno as well to verify all is good.

Is your fuel pump not in tank like the vx220/Elise? Never removed a clam for fuel pump / filter changes

Sort that U bend heat protection while there also

Yes, but easiest way to drop is this way as the access panel isn’t big enough to get pump out!

Looked Awesome on and off the track at Blyton.

Got a couple of lotus at work but a lot older, an Elite and a form of an Europa.

So track time was great.

One slight snag was that I couldnt appear to modulate the braking. I guess I could do with some alignment as when I added another 100kgs it braked perfectly.
