Loltus Exige

So the lotus have developed a character trait or fault as they are known in Renault parlance.

When I turn off the car sometimes it stays ignition live, sometime not.

Its a good game.

However, I have left the negative terminal on the battery finger tight and take off the wire if it wont go off.

Job , er jobbed?

Booked in for a nitron rebuild in a couple of weeks and some general housekeeping. Ill ask them to look at it then.

Not fully sure of the exige setup but on the vx220 I would be checking the realys in the boot and then various earth points

Both of these can cause all sorts of fun, give the impact switch a press for good measure

There is no impact thingy / inertia switch on a s2 :)

I think its the MRFU. I can cope with it at the minute as I know the fix. Just weird.

Loose negative can cause all sorts of issues you pikey. Fix it properly, or at least fit a kill switch lol

oi! Its not loose as in wobbling all over the shop I just havent swung on the 11mm spanner with all my might.

TBH , after I posted I did nip it up and left the 11mm in the only cubby hole in the car.

Difference is I tightened the nut about 18 seconds after leaving it finger tight.

I suspect one of us is still on a used rad though ...

I would just send that rad too, if it aint broke dont fix it. The rad on the blue megane has been weeping for several years, might replace it one day:D

I just sat and wrote an update on project 5low but deleted it. It basically said the only car based activity has been changing a h7 headlight bulb on the wife’s car last night ready for its mot, which I’m now sat waiting for 😴

Edit, she hasn’t been driving around with a headlight out, it went Monday on the way home from work and I got a new one while at work. They always seem to go just before the mot 😬

You may want to sort this..

Bare wire and doesn't look like it's crimped to well.

If you were closer I'd change it for you!
Just spent some time today replacing some of these.
