3 would be my preference as the ECU is quite trick. I have been speaking to Dan and he has been chasing for an age to get access. It seems unlikely though.

Get manifold, get cc on and other minors and either accept flash option or bite bullet amd got standalone....with tc option poss? Dont chase numbers just decent safe level and rage with confidence

I am still after a bloody inlet for the car. Its been disco'd by lotus and no one has stock. So frustrating.

Said what you said to Paul , Ill get the CC on, with the other bits and just take it steady. Then when it comes to the push to get the ECU on Ill get the smaller pulley done ,ecu on , injectors, map and voila. Should have something pretty special.

Someone messaged me from Greece. Wanted €900 for one.

Its a £100 part from Lotus , albeit unavailable.
We had a minor negotiations resulting in
Him: Its a part for a lotus not a VW
Me : Its not made of gold either

It ended there.

Ill find one , or have one made.
 
So the part I needed ( C128E0012F fore reference ) has just done me to the tune of $468 from the US. Its a £199 part in the UK. However , no one has one ...

Thats £460 + this for the bloody setup! Ah well, its only money.

I was offered a inlet from a chap in Greece who wanted €900 for it. I asked him if it was made of gold but it got lost in translation somewhere.

With a delicious sense of irony he has just twigged that I have a greddy manifold coming up for sale. Anyone want to guess my opening price? :clapping.gif:

So , to recap.

I have now got :
A car that runs rich low down and lean at the top end
A full pro alloy chargecooler setup suitable for my expensive new bits
A smaller pulley and belt kit
A lighter wallet.

I now need :
A financial miracle.
Aftermarket ECU
Injectors ( Ashtray VXR ones , or even Deka 630s will do )
Mapping
Fitting.

I fear the need bit is going to outweigh the got bit by a factor of 2:1 in cost.

Gonna be fast though once done.

Did I mention that the higher power ones tend to kill boxes?

£3k for new gearset in them. I best start saving after I have saved.

Lol love the slippery slope and early acceptance.

Fit yourself and that way you can address all the little future niggles while clam(s) off ;) save doing next time or the fight it will give if not done now :)
