5 Mk I incl Gordini LECar Turbo Crank trigger pattern

Hi
I believe my 1985 LeCar Turbo has a crank sensor, but I can't find any info on the trigger pattern -ie the number of teeth and the position of the missing tooth relative to crank TDC. Can anyone help?

Cheers

Okay just to clarify 44 teeth (46 if all the teeth were present) in 360 degrees of crank rotation. The two missing teeth 180degrees apart. Does anyone know the position of these missing teeth in relation to TDC?

Thanks for the offer of the flywheel Chris - I'll see if it's possible to reprogram the ECU first as I want the conversion to be as simple as poss. (It's an Emerald by the way)

Cheers for the help guys.

Thanks Gary, a pic's worth a thousand words etc.

They must have been on the giggling Gitanes when they came up with that pattern.
I suspect it's a new trigger wheel/flywheel for me then.

Cheers

Yes the Emerald can accept that trigger wheel pattern. I'll need to run it with a single coil and the distributor to sort the sparks due to the two reset points, but the ECU can look after the fuelling and ignition advance without needing to alter the original Renault set-up which is what I wanted.

I am still undecided what engine management system to run, the engine was built with Omex in mind which is why I had the flywheel made,I have looked at others emerald, mega squirt etc but have never been convinced by any of the others? Are the others cheap and cheerful or could someone sway me towards them

You'll get sick of me banging on about Adaptronic, the 420d would suit you:

We have great support for the 420d here on the forums
We have a fantastic tuner that supplies, advises and maps em (Chris @ EFI Parts)
Its price point for what you get is ridiculous
The customer service is the best in the industry, in my experience

I wouldn't use anything else now. I don't know of one single dissatisfied customer. If you want the porn star version buy an E1280 where you can build your own modules in the software, or splash out on the new modular unit where you can plug in extras like FBW throttle controllers and extra aux outputs and so on.

Ive talked quite a number of people into one since me and @Andyquadra bought our units in 2003 or 2004 I think :)

Off the top of my head a few on here are
Me
James S
Amrit (installing now)
Johnspin
Dips
Lee A
Duncan G
Mark D
Clarkey and his banana boat
Brucie
Ricardo used one on the supercharged clio (now sold)

Tbh they are all much the same. If you want it on and mapped then they are. Some are just more user friendly if you want to tinker yourself. I'm a fan of omex personally but that's because it's what I know. On a lecar there's no need for all singing all dancing Tbh.

Not particularly one to fiddle too much, just want a good plug and play unit, Omex 600 series is where I was going but would consider the adaptronic unit if it is tried and tested which seems to be the case
