I have a number of minor leaks with the little Ph1 Vee. After spotting a spot of oil on the driveway I jacked it up on axel stands and had a closer inspection. As far as I can see, I have 3 leaks.
1) Gearbox sump plug
There is a leak coming from cooper washer and sump plug which needs replacing (will talk to paul @ RPD). Question is, if I drain the oil and replace, how much oil doe it take to replace? Any other tips for replacing the gearbox oil?
2) Engine Sump gasket
If I run my finger around the engine sump, it's wet with oil, so I'm assuming I just need a replacement gasket.
3) Powersteering pipe
One of the pipes coming down from the powersteering bottle is damp with the red oil. I have wiped it down and will check again at the weekend to see if was just an overspill from whenever it was last topped up. However if it is a leak, will I have to replace the whole pipe or doe it come in sections?
I would take it over to Scott, but these look straight forward enough and also allows me to become more familar with the motor.
