LAKES Meet Saturday 6th August

Awesome day out shame about the weather. Thanks to Matt and Phill and everyone involved in organising things. James thanks for the drinks way too nice of you. We had a right laugh, great company although Danny I am glad Sarah is your missus "psycho the rapist" I hope it was the cheeky vimto talking but I always give as good as I get  Pleasure to have met you both.
Taipan ph2 rules again. [smilie=yay.gif] Santapod, M6, where next? Aerodynamic drag of the wrap slowing you down ;)
Great to see some new and old faces again and Woody shame Jackie couldnt make it or the little man. Hope he gets well soon.
The cyclist moment was hilarious as well as tractorgate! Lucky the old couple in the land rover (was it?) were happy to reverse and reverse and ..... reverse and reverse  Really nice couple had a good old chin wag with them. Present a good image of the club. doing my bit for public relations :)

Yeah I got back ok no hanging about and no porsches getting in my way ;) Its amazing how a vee just makes people get out of your way ;) its like having blues and twos on!!

Love the blast to the restaurant, momentarily the M6 belonged to the club!!!!
From the air we must have looked like a pack of skittles charging down the motorway!!
The Do Not Follow Me Award goes to Taipan for trying to drive back to the Lakes rather than towards the South!! Yep within 50 yards of the hotel he went the wrong way and had to reverse back into the correct lane. Luckily as a mate I left him a gap while I was PMSL
Great trip thanks everyone [smilie=thanks.gif]

Awesome pics and looked like a great day! (I missed out for sure) Will endeavour to make the next one. Although i've said that twice now!

Well done to those who organised and made the effort to travel!

Massive thanks to Matt and Phill (2 l's) for making this meet a great success! Shame the weather was poo in the morning, but can't have it all ways all of the time eh. It takes such a long time and an awful lot of effort to get these meets sorted out to this standard.. 'Well done'!!
Great to see so many familiar faces and plenty of new ones too!! Finally getting to meet the old hairdresser Colin after such a long time too! :) The Mars red's were looking lush!

A real pleasure to spend a great weekend with equally great people. Thanks to everyone else that was able to attend, a testiment to what a great little club this really is. Hope to see you all again soon, no doubt a few of you before the next Lakes meet..!! [smilie=thanks.gif]

phill, hope you and Ann had a great holiday! very hardcore coming to the meal just before you went to the airport :approve: was great to see you again, definately going to try and sort out a mini meet for the northerners! 8)

It was a top notch car ali! I would have another one any day of the week alongside the vee (in a few years when funds allow)

Popped and banged like a real'un with the milltek system and sport cats / re-map! 8)

Just had a wee browse through all the posts. Sounded like a good time was had by all. Looks like I missed a great meet.

Would like to try and get to one of the meets, work permitting, one day.

All the Vee's looked fantastic. A credit to you all.
