LAKES Meet Saturday 6th August

Can I just make sure this meeting won't be a road race and our club won't be getting negative boy-racer remarks on YouTube afterwards?

Hi James,

That wasn't my intention in organising the Lakes meet and I'msure it wasn't other members who have signed up to come along. I think as the first post states the meet is intended as a scencic drive around some fantastic scenery in the Lake District with lots of stop off points and places to take some great club pictures of us all together.

Hope that reassures you. Previous Lakes meets have never turned into a race organised event and I doubt this one will.
The youtube ones you refer to is the Chester meet I guess.

To make it clear. I wasn't suggesting it was a road race, just noticed a sad comment underneath the wee vid the CS guys made and bunged on YouTube. We don't want to give randoms on YouTube anything to whinge about.

Taipan you have been warned :rofl: I do do static somtimes .... a static 123mph on cruise control ph2 only as tested on autobahns.

Right, booked into the Holiday Inn. We'll be driving up on Friday 5th as its a 4 hour drive, starting at Junc 4 M40. Any other southerners going up in convoy on the Friday?

Surely driving up on the Friday would be the way to go Shaun, blimey if you drive up on the Saturday then do a fair bit of driving on the meet your going to be cream crackered :rollseyes:
