Good effort Dulan, see you tomorrow :approve:
Indeed Colin, but I am not going to bother washing/cleaning the Vee as it is raining here in Kendal right now (9:30 am) :s

Catch up later.

What a cracking day yesterday was!! Weather was very wet in the morning so all the cars were filthy but nobody actually cared, (even me!!) and from early afternoon it got really warm and sunny and turned into a beautiful evening.

Great cars, Phills updated route was incredible, had some tense moments on the really rural stuff with the coilovers but only scraped over 3 speedbumps all day :approve:
Great to see all the old faces and get chatting to some new ones too, Dulan and his wife, mick and bev, Graham and Amanda, and the 2 new boys from Carlisle are all top top people!

I always say it but I'll say it again, the BEST part of the day is the evening meal, we had a great laugh, the beer and wine was flowing and the food was incredible, I think I had the tastiest, but worlds smallest fillet steak!

Special credit again to Jitstar for driving up from London, doing the whole tour, and driving back in one day! You really must get a hotel next year dude! 8)

I'll let someone who had a proper camera post the pics, as mine were average at best lol, thanks again Phill for organising a brilliant day!
See you same time next year!!

I have no shame in admitting I woke up in the afternoon, after being on the road for circa 20 hours yesterday!

Another awesome Lakes trip - great seeing old faces and meeting the new this year. Great roads, great cars, great people!

Final shout out to Phill - really enjoyed the route; maximised driving time, challenging and fun roads, and a good spot for photos - thank you once again.

Rolled in at close to midnight, woke up very recently, hotel for next year is under consideration.

Jit

Just got back home.........Vee is still in a sorry state, but what a fantastic day out it was on Saturday - great cars, great bunch of enthusiasts! The day started out rather damp, got worse soon after we set off as it started to rain, but then cleared up in the afternoon.

Hats off to Phill for the planning the route, which I understand was different from previous years, and organising the venues for lunch and dinner. Thank you. :salut:

The route taken during the afternoon session was superb. Gave us the chance to exercise our Vees on relatively quiet roads. The stretch with the uphill switchbacks was a real cracker.

I have some video footage taken en route at various points during the day. If there is any interest I can post these up on this thread as YouTube videos. Of course, we drove according the prevailing conditions, and obeyed the speed limit of whatever stretch of road we were on (and the highway code) at all times. ;)

Good to meet some new faces, and catch up with the usual suspects. Good to finally meet you and your wife too Colin. Davy, guess we should have stuck to plan A - would have given you the chance to indulge yourself a bit more than you did. ;)

We are definitely on for next year.....

fantastic day yesterday, really enjoyed every minute of it from meet up with Colin. A special thanks to Phil for organising so well and to all of you for welcoming me and Sam into the V-fold. What a great start to Vee ownership, a great day out, a wonderful drive in my favourite car ever and best of all a great bunch of new friends. Thank you all, looking forward to the next event, Allan

Another successful trip enjoyed by all. Even if I did have to share the driving this year, although I didn't have a choice at one point, I got out to stretch my legs and then he was so quick to jump in my seat lol! First time he had driven it and he loved it, I have a feeling it won't be the last either!
Good to meet up with old and new faces too.
So yes, hats off to Phil for the route!

Although, I couldn't help but give a little thought to Colin and the dreaded speed bumps and the scraping noise. And I assume he's lived in the garage today washing and waxing it

Although it was a very short visit we both enjoyed meeting everybody .great to see Colin and his wife .didnt realise it was his 3rd vee lucky man .thanks phil for organising the meeting .that lunar grey vee was mint haven't seen one that colour .colins wife knew the colour so she's probably more clued up than me .well silverstone next so hope to meet a few vee owners end of July .ps them burgers were amazing .

Didn't take many photographs this time out - was enjoying driving the Vee too much!

I believe there was a professional photographer attending (from Performance French Car?), so we should see some cracking photographs. In the meantime those below should give a flavour of the day, albeit in static form.

Indeed. Next time we shall make a night of it. :)

Another great meet/tour of the Lakes, in the end we had 18 Vee's attending which is pretty good turnout. Good to catch up with a few folk and meet some new ones too, a special thanks to those that travelled a long way to join us :salut: from the feedback everyone enjoyed the day.

The weather didn't play ball early on  but improved as the day went on thankfully, the afternoon loop was chosen to find us some quiet roads away from the tourist towns and villages and seemed to go down well too [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Some more photo's would be nice and please post that video Dulan :race:

Hope to see you all back again next year [smilie=thanks.gif]

Cheers,

Phill

Thanks to Phill for organising the meet to drive by my wedding and for all of you who helped made my day by giving it a good old bit of noise as you drive past. There was loads of people talking v6s and asking about them thoughout the day. I had the best day of my life and it was a pleasure to have fellow club members involved in it.

The photos look great, I'm glad the weather turned around and you all had a great time.

Indeed would be good to see some photos from the chap from Performance French Cars, and perhaps a video or two. I will edit the on-board videos and post them up when I have some time.

Duncan, congratulations. Missed the rendezvous point, but glad that at least some of us managed to get there on time. Trust you both drove off in your Mars Red - safe to say the Trophy would have been a touch extreme ;)
