Sooo bad lol and yet my hat is dipped to you for your continued support but even more, your ability to get so many bad puns into such a short sentence

Fresh update:

there are four exhausts being assembled as i write this, one is actually complete and ready for dispatch but i notice there is only one name on the list so Kett, its your lucky week.
Anyone else on here that wants one please come forwards as i will not get the others finished off if there is no need or want.

Yee-hah!!!

Very excited 'bout this! I'm up 'your way' this weekend too (on another Wombling mission). Hopefully we can arrange for me to collect...
: )

How many have been sold in total now spike?

Also surely your own car deserves one of these 4 at long last???

Colin: i would love one of these but again, all four are now sold. as for how many i think its about sixteen or even eighteen, i have not really counted them. i dont even think i have got my initial investment back, that seems to forever get swallowed up in fuel going back and forth to Janspeed.
I will say though , doing this project has been an eye opener, and i have met with many interesting people along the way and would do it all again, just goes to show its not all about profit, i have really enjoyed doing this. the first few were a ball ache though, and that was my fault as i tried to do too much too quickly, anyway, thats all in the past.
So a big thanks to all who have had one of these , and a big thanks to Janspeed, particularly Jonothan Leach who, without his help none of these would have happened.
Anyone wanting one of these exhausts, get in touch as the next batch are on the cards now.
(maybe one for me?)

I've just received one of Spike's Janspeed exhausts and it is a work of art.
Can't wait to have it fitted to the Clio but might frame it and have it wall mounted instead!

I had a visit to Janspeed yesterday to discuss if and when i wanted an other batch of exhausts, Bad news is, there is going to be a price increase. As yet i am still trying to keep this down, and wil do everything i can to keep it so. Bottom line is, everything inc labour has gone up so must the price of exhausts.
I have no idea how much the increase will be, we both feel that if there were more orders it would help but as you all are aware this is a very limited market. there are major internal changes happening at Janspeed due to cutbacks and other work commitments (read big order commitments) so i feel i am very lucky that Janspeed for the moment are going to continue to make these for me.
An option that was discussed yesterday to increase demand was some sort of adaptor to make these fit a Ph 1. i have no idea what demand there would be for these but it would possibly require the end cutting and rewelding on the cat pipe, to allow easy fitment to the ph2 Janspeed. to alter the jig to fit a different flange is not going to happen due to cost. if this appeals to you, let us know.
I will keep you all posted of developments, but would say if you are thinking of one of these exhausts to get your order in whilst you can, i dont know how long i can keep this going. Of course, money talks, but as i said i am trying to keep the price down.

Been resisting the temptation, maybe now's the last chance so best put me down for one of the next batch.
Many thanks

I would take 1 if its a straight bolt on for Ph1

Sorry guys, this aint gona happen, not without completely re jigging the whole thing. that would be about £1500, we already discussed that one.

ed, i have got your name on the list, if you are SERIOUS, post on here with your name at number one. i will again use this post to then keep a track of who wants what.

I got a PM this morn asking for info on these exhausts and asking why it was called a "Spike Janspeed"and not a particular name, i decided to post my reply as it may be of use to others.

Hi, yes i see your confusion, i get more confused myself with this as i ought to have a dynamic name for this like THUNDER or SONIC etc. but no its a Janspeed.
Its an exhaust made by janspeed to MY pattern , and as designed using my car by myself and the guys at Janspeed. It is not one of their designs that is modified or changed it is a totally different product.
This was as said designed by myself but more importantly paid for by myself as a sort of "club buy" type idea. i paid for the development and so these are only available through myself, delivery is slow as i hold no stock and so they are made to order, the price was £495 plus delivery but as yet for the next batch i am expecting a slight increase due to increased lobour and construction costs, exact increase to be confirmed.
If you want one you will have to put your name on the list within the last pages pf the janspeed post and give me a call as i do not regularly look. my number is 07889 ****** , if you order now i would expect a delivery date by about jan or sooner, i cannot make any guarrantees on delivery as these are manufactured at slack periods to keep costs under control.
Spike.

OK NOTED, when do you want one for? As i order these in batches of four and as you see there are only two on the list.
