Hi,

New owner here after prices and availability on the following:

- The interior screws which attach the painted plastic gear stick surround/console to the car.
- The price of two new Ph2 Xenon headlamps

Many thanks [smilie=thanks.gif],
Dave.

Dave when you say new xenons do you mean the whole unit including all workings including ignitors, bulbs, power pack etc or just the lenses.

If you mean all complete I would say you need to sit down when you get a price from Renault.

If it's just the casings I think they are about the £150 each.

Hi Dave,

Have a look through here; manuals for some part numbers and give Paul at Renault Parts Direct a call LINK for some prices.

Other than that James may be along soon ;)

Phil

If your current screws are chrome, there is no price available. If they are standard black about £2.00 each

Thanks chaps, great response [smilie=thanks.gif]

Regarding the headlamps, I'm after just the lenses really as mine have some crazing/dulling on them due to age. Is this the most cost effective remedy? My first step will likely be to sand them down and polish them back up but may resort to replacing in the end!

Regarding the screws I'm specifically after the screw on the passenger side nearest the dashboard. It's not actually listed on that diagram but it goes through the hole shown right at the end...is it safe to presume 77 03 008 220 will do the job?

Crazing and coloration on xenon headlights are a very common issue and can easily be machine polished out.

Or buy the 3m headlight lense restoration kit - a great piece of kit that gets your headlights looking like brand new - available from eBay for less than £20.

Mossyv6 - I've just found a guide online which shows a chap restoring his headlights with wet & dry and then polishing them up with a DA, might have to have a go at that and if the results are poor then go for the casings Russo has linked to :approve:

Feels a bit daft ordering a £2.00 screw on it's own....then again I do need some new mats for the front... ;)

Well I had a go at the lights with some wet sand and the machine polisher and they have improved, but far from perfect. It seems like there's some crazing in the plastic inside the lens, maybe due to heat build up from the xenons?

So I'm tempted to swap the lenses for new items, how difficult is it to change the headlamps? Is it a bumper off job?

I also want to change my lenses, I bought a restoring kit but not sure if I will use it, especially as the front bumper has to come off.

Does anybody know how much the lenses are and if they are difficult to swap once the lamp unit is off the car?

I think its just the plastic casing so the same for all types of lights, just refit your xenon bulbs etc back into the new case...

Not 100% sure though

Euro Car Parts listing new lamps at £43

Are you sure if they are xenons? Seems too cheap.
According to their info they are for Xenon bulbs and just to be sure I put my Vee reg in and it came up with these, originally £150, they also had Hella lamps at £80, likewise. Worth a call to be sure but beats the hell out of grinding and polishing lenses just to end up with distorted optics!
