INSURANCE

Hi Guys,
Advice and a few pointers required !
Im mid 50's, clean liscence, full NCB.
My everyday drive is a Range Rover.
Have just bought a Phase 1 V6 !
Any pointers on how to organise my insurance to cover both cars ?
The V6 is going to be my "summer toy" so wouldnt expect miliage to exceed 3 or 4 K a year at most.
What companies should I contact, Im with Churchill at the moment.
Cheers
Al

Hi Al, if your mileage won't exceed 3k miles, then google 'Hagerty' they do a specialised classic policy for the Clio V6, you will unlikely find a cheaper quote, from my experience anyhow. Although insurance comes down to personal circumstances.

cheers
Dan

I'm less than 10 years younger than yourself and I found the best deal was to put my usual cars on a multicar policy and include this (admiral).
I'm the only driver on the V and main on all of the others.

It's not old enough for a classic policy (which is where the Alpines are covered).

Also remember that price is not the be-all and end-all. I find quality of the insurer in the event of a claim and admin charges for changes made to the policy equally as important when considering who to place a policy with. No matter who you go to though they're all robbing bar stewards.

Hagerty insure my Dads Alpine A310 and A110 and have recently introduced a classic policy for the V6 Clio, which I've just taken out. they were miles cheaper than the likes of Adrian Flux and Footman James, and they are very helpful, car enthusiasts themselves.

Peter S Taylor (bishops calway) were by far the cheapest for the Alpines for me.

Insurance sorted !
Went with Hagerty Policy.
350 quid fully comp for myself and son (30years).
Both got clean lisence's and have other main cars
3k miles per annum.
Happy with that as did have the usual pile of crazy quotes to frighten the crap out of me !!!!!
