so you guys have convinced me to buy a Clio V6 and I cant wait just need to save a little more but hopefully by June at the latest I will have one.

I have got a few insurance quotes (the highest being £32K!!!) and the best being £1800 with elephant. I am 26, ive only had my own insurance policy for 1 year with no claims, prior to that I was under my mums insurance policy with no claims during those 6 years.

Can anyone suggest an insurance company that may be able to offer a more competative quote?

i think thats the best your going to get with only 1 years no claims, Im 26 and pay 600ish with elephant, i have about 9 years no claims. Best thing with elephant is wait for them to phone you and they will knock at least 20% off that figure.

Elephant have never phoned me....they are an internet company for that reason to cut out admin costs? Why would they phone someone.....do you do a quote on line and request a call or something? I've had quotes done online that have sat for months with no calls?

Please explain?

He's basically saying play 'hard to get' with them.....ring them up, ask them if they can beat that quote, then go "errrr... I might buy that quote right now if it was better" and watch 20% dissapear instantly. Its worked two years running for me.
