Inlet Manifold Coolant Hose Problem - E6J

I have a 1390 E6J carb model from '91, was tightening the alternator belt today and accidentally knocked the coolant hose out of its connection to the inlet manifold, trouble is the hose came off with what looks like a metal sleeve - which is now damaged - I'm not sure if this metal sleeve has broken off the inlet manifold or was it an interference fit into the manifold? i.e. can I get hold of a new sleeve and tap it into the manifold and re-attach the hose? Appreciate anyone's thoughts...

the pipe is a press fit, they come in to sizes 12 and 14mm iirc.

Chances are the whole pipe didn't come out so to get the rest out the manifold will need to come off. Get the remains out measure the hole order new bit from renault then tap it in with a hammer.

Thanks, Chris - that's a relief, I took the manifold off today - will check if there's any pipe remnants left inside (didn't feel any with my finger) and give Renault a call - hope they still do them...sounds a bit obscure for a stock part....tks again

95% sure they will have it. Worldwide there are still hundreds of thousands of these engines pootling around and all metal coolant system parts will be in regular demand.

Just to finish this one - rang Renault Dealer, said the actual part I needed was not available but that another one - 16mm pipe - was available which looked like the right size after measuring, so ordered that and it was! Took about 30mins to tap it in but its holding up just fine. Thanks again..
