Immobilizer light stay ON, car don’t start

Very grateful if someone could give advice on this which i’ve never happen before, checked the coil, injector, fuel pump, fuse and battery already but somehow it just didn’t work, makes me no idea what to do next :(

The immobiliser is a separate system from the zappy key unlock. There is two segments in the key, the zappy unlock bit and a transponder for the immobiliser. There is a ring around the ignition barrel connected to the UCH that detects the transponder in the key, and disables the immobiliser.

Do you have a spare key?
Have you tried disconnecting the battery and unplugging all the wiring harnesses to the Uch and reconnecting them?
Have you messed with anything in the steering column area?

Yup really annoying, guess what, the local dealer just quote me the cost of 2 keys, UCH and consulting fee which scare me a lot

Sounds like a UCH problem. Very annoying unless you have a friend with the Renault CLiP

Tks pal, however my mechanic had tried everything that you mentioned and it didn't work too, and what make it worse is we don't have a spare key, kinda annoying :(

I don't have a spare key either and I would most likely run into the same difficulties as you have now.

From what I read on this forum and the Clio Sport forum, you don't need new keys to resync with the UCH.

Sounds like you need to be visiting a dealership then :(

Problem solved. I'm using a standalone ECU to override the entire OEM ECU, it's kinda difficult actually.
