Immobiliser bypass

Has anyone managed or is it possible to bypass the Immobiliser in the ECU?

When I swapped the ECU from mine over for another one, the fuel pump primed the fuel line and the starter motor was going but it just wouldn't fire.

I assume it is inhibiting the ignition module via output pin No. 27 on the ECU plug, has anyone tried breaking that line output on the board and connecting it to the voltage it is looking for to run?

I think immobilisers came in after 1992 so a 1991/2 ECU will not have this issue.

Unfortunately I do not think I have a working spare (I ruined the original from my Chamade by trying to solder in a different chip), although I will double check because I have a stack of them.
