idle problem!!!!!!

av jst baught a valver on saturday which was a non runner , (the actual car is a minter tho! its a 95 n reg, i towed it home and started workin on it straight away, ive put new plugs dizzy cap, and leads, the car wudnt turn over still but there was a spark from the coil, i put a new ecu in ,turned the key and the fucker started! the engine sounds healthy and pulls hard through every gear!, one little problem tho! the car is idleing at 1500 rpm and thn it slowley increases to 2000 rpm, if i blip the throttle it goes bak down to 1500 rpm, the car has been sat in a garage for 3 -4 years before i baught off this bloke whos was about 50! there was 2 inches of dust on the dashboard! can any 1 help with this idle problem!

Remove the idle valver and give it a clean first, if its not that, then it could be a number of things.
If its high then its more than likely that your speedo cable needs re-earthing behind your clocks!

yep as above, ISCV off and some carb cleaner through it
