I hope he gets it.

First thing i noticed - Matthew Wilson.... thought that rung a bell. MattGWilson. Price fixing is nice on paper, but only relevant when someone hands over the cash. We could all advertise cars at £50000, but doesnt mean anyone will buy them - even if you do really want one? I certainly wouldnt pay 26k, and I'm a massive Renaultsport enthusiast.

When I went to buy a V6, first thing I did was sign up here and do lots of research. Nothing stopping anyone else doing that either, so when they read all these posts?!

Like I said before, it's a nice idea and thought that in theory benefits us all. The reality is different though.. sorry to sound negative. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Hope you get what you ask for it Matt. It does seem like a very well looked after car. Roy Hodgson is asking a lot for them and seems to move them on so why can't we?

Good luck with the sale Matt.

On another note. Mine is now going on sale for £19,500 ;)

Ah members only - must be for the for sale section.
What are they saying?

Nothing too bad.. just as you might expect with that price. Just a few quotes.

Re: £26000 for a V6?
They're asking major money, however it is only on 4000 miles from new!

Re: £26000 for a V6?
Best V6 in the country?

Have they checked with Ali?

I'd rather have one with 10x the miles and £10k cheaper.

Re: £26000 for a V6?
he's dreamng at that price its a common blue one!!! he obviously hasn't seen some of the V6.net cars (the grey one owed by guielleme (however you spelt it!), the brown one, etc etc)

Re: £26000 for a V6?
its one thing advertising another if ur gonna get, £10k more than any other

a total dreamer

Re: £26000 for a V6?
Realistically thats worth about 18/19k

Hi guys, I'm completely open to offers on this price, I suppose I should have put that in the post although even if you put NO OFFERS you still get them. I've had two good sounding offers so far... One from a garage that specialises in exotic cars in Cardiff that said they would put my car up for sale for £23K (They then take 1K )but give me credit for £3K against any car I buy from them now or in the future. I also had a guy ring up earlier today who wants to come and see it on Tuesday, he said he wouldn't pay £26k but would offer a very reasonable amount if the car is as described. I have no problem in him coming and giving me an offer.

If someone really wants it tell will buy it. There was a thread about my car everyone said he would sell it he'll have that a long time. Well he sold it in the end. I really hope you do get a good price for it I wouldn't sell mine for some of the prices that are about at the moment.

If everyone has this attitude the better cos then eventually prices will have to rise! [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Cars are worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for them, prices have been falling on V's for no other reason than we are letting them fall. If we were all selling our cars for 30k then thats what they would be worth like wise if we sell them for 10K thats what they are worth. Yes 26K is alot but try finding another, if you want a low milage minter thats the price !

Look at other low volume cars escort cosworths a good one 25 k + and were about 20k new
Lotus exege mk1 still over 20K and prices have not moved for 3 years or so
