How do you get such low prices

Looking to renew my car ins, and thought I was a good risk

30 years old, 11 years NCB, car garaged, limited miles upto 2K a year, living with partner clean licence etc

On confused the cheapest was the RAC at £780 the most expensive was hasting direct who quoted

£94,594.50 !!! I have it saved just because I could not belive it, bargin as i do get a half price MOT !!

You guys who are getting £300.00 quotes was sort of critia do you have ?? Just wondering really ??

I think the post code of where you live and where the car is kept plays a major part in the premium Chris. Is your's notably a higher risk perhaps?

Al's above is going to be cheaper because his stately manor has a post code all of its own.. lol

As above really, when I moved from a nice little village back into the city centre my premiums went up about £80 :(

29 yrs, Garaged, wife on the policy and 10 yrs NCB, 5K miles a year and I was around £425 for a Vee (with Admiral).

For a start ditch confused.com and the like. I find it much better to phone around to be honest. Adrian Flux have always been good with me. They ask what your best quote is, you give them your cheapest and they beat it lol.

Compare the market is the cheapest price comparison site, Go Compare & tesco compare were double the price for me, i pay £1100 on the Vee & have 9 years NCB with 0 claims, this included protected no claims & £500 excess, i live in a nice area but my postcode (HX3) is same postcode as some very deprived areas in Halifax that are about 5 miles away so i think this is why mine is so much as car crime in those areas is abnormal, although my insurance on the Escort Cosworth last year was cheaper at £780 and that is also a group 20 insurance,

Another thing to consider limiting your miles to only 2K a year will increase the premium, try putting in 5,000 miles a year & 10,000 miles a year & see what results you get, almost always you get lower premiums by stating more miles, don't know why but it is true,

Thanks I will play around with the miles and see what differnece it makes, if that does not work I will just move which if i went with my hastings direct quote would still put me ££££ in

Over 25, 4k miles, must be your second car, agreed value, locked garage, Chester, excess may have been £300 or so but can't remember the exact figure = £357 with Hagerty.

I get the feeling they may not want you, or your car, as a customer.

LOL! I have in a flat in Aberdeen...No idea why Aberdeen is so cheap, as it's a categoric shit hole!

21 years of age 4 years no claims bonus live in shropshire and only pay 1100 kapow!

I think my dad saw your car the other week Jacko, he lives just outside Oswestry (I'm in Somerset). He mentioned it because he knows I like them and there can't be many in the area?

im wiv admiral, 29, 4 years ncb and 4k miles and its about £560 try putting ur parents or other low risk people as named drivers and it drops it by quite a bit!

yeah that would be me rich. mine is the only one for a fair few miles that i know about, there is a MK2 close but that is illiad. the next PH1 i believe is newtown or chester i think from what i have read on here unless someone has one locked away in a shed somewhere!
