Honest Opinions wanted on Price of my 21t

Hey guys, Yes I am thinking of moving on from car modding etc.

The 21 is on my drive in bits but its not going to take long to sort her for MOT.

Im putting my colt away for the winter and generally giving myself a break.


Now, i know 21 turbos are not worth as much as Renault 5 GT Turbos but i would like someone with experience (sibbers, shep etc) to let me know honestly and bluntly what my car is worth.

It body work is tired. lil dents and a lil bit of door damage. Its a very solid car underneath.

Its standard engine wise and as far as I know its done 120,000 miles.

When I drive it, to me, it feels remarkably quick. Its feels like I run out of raod everywhere I go. On the motorway its just eats it up passing many expensive new cars with ease. The people that want to play usuall east dust.

The interiro of my car is very good. i describe it as mint but I know it may not be to you guys.

With new rear suspension and new starter on it it Will pass MOT as my test has already said so.

So im just after a ball park figure. Be Honest. If its only worth ?300 then at least I wont be wasting mmy own time trying to sell or swap her.

Just my opinon/what i would pay......

NO mot & not that clean - ?300 or so...
Mot/tax & cleanish - ?500 - ?750
Mot/tax & clean/straight (no major issues) ?1000 - ?1500
Mot/tax - ultra clean - NO issues - working electrics etc... upto ?2,500

After previous experiences with 21 turbos - i would now only go for the last 2 options......

Your car without MOT - probably ?300 - ?400
Your car with MOT - probably ?500 - ?800

But as it's been said before on here "it's worth what you're prepared to pay for it..."

The above pricing obviously doesn't mean you can drag you cars out, polish them & then offer them to me at inflated prices.....LOL

this part i dont understand mate, if you're happy with the car...why sell it then ? No idea what you paid for it but its like whe say over here: its what the fool pays for it. When you got the right person, you get money for it. If you got a tirekicker who has no idea what hes buying, you get 300.

catch the right person on ebay with it taxed and tested 650-700 id say maybe more maybe less,ive owned 4 21s the most expensive was ?570 the least expensive is the one i have now ?140
but they have all raped my bank account for far more

I dont need to sell it. Its just a lack of time to enjoy my 4th car. who really needs 4 cars anyway.

I wont be defeated by the car. I have everything i need for it except a bumper.

I do really love it and I think its a great car. Just thinking about my family a lil bit.

If you've got 4 cars, put them all up for sale & see what sells first & hey-presto problem sorted........

Use the cash you make to spruce up the 21 (if it doesn't sell) & buy the wife something nice (NOT kitchen related....:icon_lol
