High Idle RPM

Hi
My PH1 19 16v revs are a bit high plus they increase when the steering is used more than say half a turn, then the revs settle down again.Some days it does settle around 950 rpm other days can be 1100 - 1200 rpm.
I,ve taken the ICV off and checked that it rotates ok and is clean. also slacked of the throttle cable to check it wasnt being pulled by anything in the engine bay or the pedal.Throttle body seems to close up ok TPS looks ok. Anyone has similar problems... Thanks

mine occasionally does the same, idle a bit higher than normal.. Even though the iscv is clean and seems to rotate freely, it seems related to it anyway, because each time it's done it and I tap it with a screw driver, the idle settles where it should...

Yeah thought that could be p/s under more load but can go up to nearly 2k rpm... its a bit annoying, my Ph2 I had didnt do this.
