Help I've broken down :(

I always pick up (or ring back if i don't, my phone is on 24hours a day!) when did you call??

EDIT - missed call from a private number @ 9.22am this morning if that was you?

It was yes, I was in a window where I could make some calls and needed to ring someone so rang the next garage instead of leaving a long winded message. This other garage is nearer too and for £16 to get it there they can have a look. I might get in touch if they can't do it, but the guy is a Renault specialist with his own Acid V6 so in safe hands.

Also thinking the flatbed down to you (Birmingham iirc) might be expensive

Thanks

cool well if you get stuck over the xmas period let me know, i'm NOT closing unlike everyone else (i hate xmas!)

The plums from Greenflag sent a transit van

They said a flatbed would arrive in 30 mins, about 1hr and 30mins ago I was still waiting. So cancelled and it's going in the morning.

Spoke to Rick, he seemed a very knowledgeable and friendly guy and as well as having an Acid V6 also has in his collection a 700 mile sport spider!!! Can't wait to have a butcher at his collection

From a very quick conversation it's a new clutch and slave cylinder, £690 inc fitting. Not too bad do we think? Also getting an oil change in too for £85

if its a phs2 i'd suggest binning the dual mass flywheel whilst its apart to save further aggro in future, mine failed at 54K miles

good price though

I was going to suggest that. I reckon Freds right. Good price for that lot too!

I might call down while Ricks doing it, I'm only 3 mins down the road at work! Would be interesting to see the box off!

If you do could you snap some pics please, I too would like to see what it looks like :)

a NEW dual mass flywheel is something daft like £1200, you'd be mad to fit one of those! you can get a single mass unit for around £450 (either phs1 of phs2, i'd suggest going for the phs1 flywheel and clutch, lighter and better!)

No problem, are you happy for me to post them on here? Pm
me with your email if not and I'll fire them through.

Cheers
Dan

I think the phase 1 clutch and flywheel is stronger than the phase 2 as well?

Or that's what I was told when fitting my Ph2 box to my Ph1 engine and flywheel ?

Think you can change without engine out as well
