I even checked they will be able to get the parts. Amazed!
Wonder how it'll perform with the Traffic Master ratios in there ;).

I said that the the guy I spoke to different ratios!

Oh well fuel economy will be a little better.

Peter, the boxes are hand assembled to order in Dieppe. Renault have just told me 24 August to get my car back. Now have a Modus.

Ant, I bet you can't kill the modus. No accidents alowed. Must be wear and tear!

Anyway feck it i'm driving mine while I wait. Just double de-clutching 6th. No problem.

TBH i'm not overly worried if it takes a few weeks. I am mobile...

The main problem with the Modus is it looks gay. And I look like a knob-jockey in it. That's my concern. It is a bandito's car the same as any front engined Clio. Oh, and it has no aircon.

It is actually 'OK' to drive. Tyres squeal on almost every corner, has a CD (and worryingly came with Madonna's Confessions of a Dance Whore in it!!), sunroof and cupholder (x2).

Peter, did I tell you the story about that TT I had?

The one you hired and killed!

I think so...

Go on KILL THE MODUS. Do the world a favour!

...this is a bit like the qs boxes - we both have parts being made by the same people at the same time!

I just wished they'd hurry up! I bet mine takes AGES. Next week my arse!

I think the guy at City Renault was worried about telling me the date – only found out when I was insuring the courtesy car.

Good thing is it will help ground me for a while so the V6 feels fast again – as to be honest it doesn't.

...just realised, I have track day cover on this Modus :D

Lets track it! Can I come along and have a go!

Lets see if we can wear the sidewalls out on the tyres!

Understeer here we come!

Nothings faster than a hire car!

I have killed a few over the years. I had to take my company car once to a bodyshop and pay for it to be fixed after some muppet pulled across me from the outside lane taking the wing off – then tried claiming it was not his fault, Had to drive off as my licence had been taken off me for speeding. Had no choice but to fix it without anyone knowing.

Also on the list of rental casualties is a Corsa and a 3-Series convertible.

I used to time long journeys with the all too frequent (every 6 month) trips to the subaru garage on my old impreza. I managed to put 1,000 miles on one of their cars once! lol
