Rein

I have searched far and wide for pdf haynes for the r19, i am convinced now that this does not exist however you will get one delivered from the u.s for about 5 quid, my last one was 2 pound with 3 pound postage

Sorry I forgot engine is F7P 16V. I need it for tomorrow and i don't get so fast from post. Maybe somebody can help me - maybe some can make copy of haynes and post picture here or something.

hey,
one thing more I need to know, How injectors with fuel rail comes off the motor? is it better to take inlet manifold off the engine before taking head off or is not problem to take all together out?
Going to do this tomorrow.

Rein

leave the inlet and exhaust manifolds attached to the head, no reason to take them off if youre just changing the head gasket.

I am changing valve stem seals aswell - thats the reason.
How often piston rings need to change - my car is 240000 km done.

Rein

Ok, well then yes, you'll need to remove the manifolds in order to get your valve spring compressor on. Take them both off with the head on the bench.

Piston rings are supposed to last the effective life of the engine.

Don't understand you Neal 100% but valve spring comressor uses only upper part of head - ok I going to take some photo of this, but really great thanks to you.

Hey,
head is off - quite pain in the ass, all theses securing bolts everywhere....

Now I need to know how to take injectors off because I want to clean surface around inlet manifold, I got fuel rail out but I don't know that can I just pull injectors out - can there be some trouble with that??

Rein

i've pulled the injectors out of 2 different engines without problems. I struggled though with some so i put an zip tie round the injector body and pulled that for extra leverage.
