Hi,
It's insurance renewal time for my v6. I have been insured with Admiral for the last 4 years as they have consistently offered the best price, and there customer service has always been very good (some other company's were quite confused by the v6's existence :rollseyes
.
But this year their initial renewal quote was: £665.95 so I checked the comparison sites and the best price was being offered by a company called Esure. I went to their website to fill out the request a quote section to be sure and they came back with £222.88 without protected NCB or £245.16 with protected NCB.
To say I was surprised by the difference would be an understatement (for reference I will be 25 by the time the policy renews with 7 years NCB and a mileage allowance of 7500) so I rang Admiral to see if they could match or at least get close to this, but the best they could manage was £515.95. Obviously this is such a big difference it seems foolish to stay with Admiral but some of the reviews I have read for Esure online don't fill me with the utmost confidence.
Has anyone had experience with them? Is it a case of luring you in with a very low first years premium and then jacking it up afterwards?
Thank you,
- William.
