As a few people have talked about a walk through for replacing the heater matrix, I have created one. It's not the most straight forward job in the world. This is how I did it.....

1. Remove Top Dash Panel - 5XT20 torx. 3 torx along the top, 2 on the side.

2. Remove Speedo/Rev guage cluster & Oil guages (if fitted) - To remove oil guages without snapping clips, gentily leaver the guages up and pull towards you.

3. Stereo & Surround - I just removed the whole unit with the stereo still inside (4XT10 torx)

4. Heater controls & Clock - Start with the heater controls..Remove the 2XT20 torx, push controls forward, twist 45* and pull out through stereo space.

Note: Be on the look out for a burnt out connector block and/or control unit. I replaced this before refit as number 3 blower setting wasn't operating.

5. Remove the center console & slide gear gaitor up the gear stick shaft - Gentily squeeze sides at the base of the gator inwards and lift.

6. Remove steering wheel, loosen steering wheel stereo control (if fitted BUT do not remove screw fully) and cowling (steering wheel/column surround)

7. Remove indicator stalk & wiper stalk -

8. Pedal box cover (under steering wheel with head light adjuster in to view the heater pipe on removal and refit)

9. Remove dash nuts at each corner 4X10mm

10. Remove bonnet pull/release 1X10mm bolt
11. Remove steering column dash support 2X20 torx

12. Remove top center plastic dash securing clip

13. Remove 2XT20 torx from stereo ISO socket mounting (at the back of the stereo housing & Remove 2XT20 Torx from under each corner of the stereo housing base

14. Pull dash forward (more so the passenger side than drivers side

13. Drain cooling/water system
14. Remove expansion bottle/header tank
15. Remove heater matrix pipes from heater matrix

16. Remove wiper arms

17. Remove scuttle panel

18. Remove wiper motor & linkage

19. Remove heater blower motor cover and unit

20. Remove 1X10.. bolt from under heater blower motor (passenger side of the matrix from the scuttle panel area)

21. Pull heater unit forward

22. Remove 2XPhillips screws/self tappers
23. Pull 4X plastic clips back slightly & Remove heater matrix out of passenger side footwell

....Compare old matrix to new and swap the bits from the old one if needed such as the rubber grommet

Refit in reverse order
