how did i guess

so the white 11 is on the cards then? 11 owners club meet soon down the seafront then? is there a lot of work needed to be done on the 11 then?

It needs-

Paint and 2 or 3 bits of surface rust sorting out. Bonnet and boot and the scorched wing mainly.
Probably needs some silly electric bugs ironing out ofter sitting for ages but we'll wait and see on that.
Needs a couple of tyres.
Needs a new choke cable as its really stiff.
The exhaust sorting out properly as i rushed it a bit.

Otherwise its pretty good. In the last 10K its had-
New calipers, discs and pads
all wheel bearings
Wheel cylinders and shoes
recon driveshafts
All 4 shocks but i robbed the fronts for the 9 lol
Torsion beam bushes
engine rebuild but that was in 1996 and it pistonslaps a bit....saying that i drove it for 10k and its still same as it was when I first started it.
Stage 1 Turbo
rebuilt carb
new rad
New main beam headlight units
Replacement fuel tank, pickup and sender, pump, filter, regulator and all pipework. The whole lot.
Windscreen reseal.
New door retainers and pins.
Stainless Quadra backbox chopped on with a 4" rolled tailpipe lol
Oil, filter, plugs, dizzy and rotor all replaced in last 2k
Fully fitted and working towbar with electrics
Induction filter (Needs a clean mind lol)

Full stripdown and respray in '96 and totally waxoyled underneath. The underside and arches are unbelieveably good as are the sills, turrets etc. The car drives really well, handles like it should and there are NO knocks, bumps, clonks, bangs, rattles or usual R9/11 noises.

Optional extras it can come with-
Set of 4 new shocks
Lowering springs, absolutely brand new.
Head set
A few panels....wings, bonnet etc.
Probably a bunch of other random spares like rear lights and stuff.

In all honesty I REALLY dont want to sell it, i havent advertised it or planned on selling it but basically i'm watching it die sat on the garden and when the chance of a good home came up my conscience overrode my desire to keep it. Paul's promised to look after it and I know he wont just scrap it for the bits that'll fit on a five.
Plus I know when the 9 gets its rebuild they'll be reunited on occasion lol.

as you've said dave m8 it'll not be getting scrapped at all but it will over time be restored to it's former glory hopefully not to longer time tho :P

It was started as a project by its prev owner in 1995. It was all but complete save for a few loose ends and he drove it into his lockup, and the fan loom burned out. He threw the arse with it and it sat there, totally untouched, till 2002 when I dragged it mercilessly out of the garage, and towed it home where I set about finishing it off and carried out a bunch more work to boot. Again it was all but complete and even did 10K on the roads (god that car was so much fun) but was removed from service when I moved house due to monetary difficulties :axe:

Its sat now for getting on 2 years, outside, its starting to grow moss on it poor thing and I recently noticed surface rust beginning to creep in. Still starts faithfully every time though bless it.

The point i'm trying to make while wrangling with myself over the decision to let it go, is, it's waited 13 years so far. I dont think another couple will make too much difference Paul :friend: :friend:  :bow2:
